Discover your Next Human induced Pluripotent Stem Cell (iPSC)-derived Hepatocytes.
Liver toxicity is a common problem in drug development and is one of the leading causes for drug attrition. Current methods rely heavily on human primary hepatocytes which lack reproducibility or immortalized cells which express an abnormal phenotype. Neither of these models meet the needs of in vitro research and iPSC-derived hepatocytes such as the Hepatosight®-S aim to fill the void.
NEXEL Co., Ltd. strives to provide high quality human hepatocytes derived from human induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells using optimized proprietary protocols. The Hepatosight®-S is a highly pure and functionally active population of cells, suitable for all types of experiments in the field of hepatocytes. Our priority is to ensure researchers get a reliable product and accelerate the diverse projects they are working on.
The Hepatosight®-S recovers quickly upon thawing to quickly form a monolayer of polygonal shaped cells. The above images were taken from a 12-well culture plate 1 day, 3 days, 5 days, 8 days and 10 days post-thawing (Magnification 100x). The Hepatosight®-S was seeded following the Hepatosight®-S User Guide.

The Hepatosight®-S expresses typical hepatocyte markers and structural characteristics which are indicative of appropriate functionality of these cells. 1,000,000 cells seeded on 12well plate and cultured for 10days before fixation. Immunocytochemistry was performed by incubating primary antibodies at the concentrations recommended by the respective suppliers at RT for 1 hour.
